September 2026 Newsletter
As we move into the final quarter of the year, we would like to share a few important updates and reminders regarding your 2025 reporting activities.
2025 Final Feedback Update
During our recent monthly meeting, CMS announced that 2025 Final Feedback is expected to become available sometime in October. At this time, CMS has not provided a specific release date. We will continue to monitor communications from CMS and will keep you updated as soon as additional information becomes available.
Data Submission Reminders
If you have not already done so, please submit your Quarter 1 and Quarter 2 data as soon as possible.
Quarter 3 ends on September 30, and we encourage you to begin preparing your Q3 data for submission.
As a Qualified Registry, we are required by CMS to provide four feedback reports each year. If you are planning to submit data only once during the 2025 reporting year, please let us know so we can document this in your account, notify CMS, and ensure our records accurately reflect your reporting plan.
Educational Corner: Understanding Virtual Groups
A Virtual Group is a participation option under MIPS that allows two or more solo practitioners and/or groups of 10 or fewer eligible clinicians to join together and report as a single entity. Virtual Groups are designed to help smaller practices benefit from shared reporting and performance opportunities while maintaining their independent practice structures. Virtual Groups are scored collectively across the four MIPS performance categories, and participating clinicians report performance data together as one group. CMS guidance for the 2026 performance year continues to support Virtual Group participation under Traditional MIPS.
Looking Ahead: Virtual Group Registration
Registration for the next Virtual Group participation period is approaching. Forming or joining a Virtual Group may be a valuable option for smaller practices looking to collaborate on MIPS reporting and potentially strengthen performance outcomes.
If you are interested in participating in a Virtual Group, or if you would like additional information about whether this option may be a good fit for your practice, please reach out to our team. We would be happy to discuss eligibility requirements, reporting considerations, and the registration process with you. Virtual Groups must be formally elected and approved by CMS to participate.
Proposed Transition from Traditional MIPS to MVPs
As highlighted in our previous newsletter, CMS has proposed transitioning all MIPS participants from Traditional MIPS to MIPS Value Pathways (MVPs) following the 2028 performance year. The chart below outlines the proposed timeline for this transition and provides an overview of what participants can expect in the coming years.

As always, thank you for your partnership. If you have any questions regarding data submissions, reporting requirements, or Virtual Group participation, please do not hesitate to contact us. We are here to help support your success throughout the reporting year.
